Joy On Two Wheels

We’ve been having some nasty rain here in Denver lately. Summer in Colorado usually means a short rain in the afternoon. But, not like this. A full on monsoon look alike rolled through here on Thursday. And similar weather has been a daily repeat every day since.

So, being without a car, what am I supposed to do? On Thursday, I was sitting in a local Chipotle, watching the carnage play out safely behind big glass windows. I only had a certain amount of time before I had to brave that weather and head to work. I sat there hoping that it would die down before my inevitable departure. But, at the same time I sat there fearing,  I was also laughing. Somewhere in the back of my head, I knew I wouldn’t mind.

Every time I get on the bike, I feel refueled. Re-energized. My mind is set free.

Even in bad weather.

I need to remember this.
